Throughout all the years of fashion, we see major trends come and go, and we see some of those major trends return years later and take over the fashion world again. We love a blast from the past and we have definitely seen a lot enter into this modern-day era!
Hot on our radar lately have been 90s fashion trends! We have seen the likes of Scrunchies, Claw Clips, and Cargo Pants take the internet by storm over the past year or so, but what can we expect for this year's 90s comeback moments? Here’s our list of 8 trends we are thinking are fast approaching 2023!
1. Chokers
They are back baby! You either love them, or you hate them. And of course, we love every 90s comeback trend. However this time it comes with a modern twist. Everyone is loving the layered look of necklaces and chokers make that super easy, also they come in all different colours and styles now!

2. Combat boots or platformed shoes
The bigger the better when it comes to following this 90s trend! It's all about making your footwear a standout piece of your outfit! From bold bright colours to big platforms these shoes are made for walkin’
3. Low-waisted, hip-hugging bottoms
They were a controversial trend even back in the 90s with many turning up their noses, in this day and age, this is probably one of the least crazy or reviling trends we have seen but it still gives sexy and confident energy. It's all about channelling your inner Brittney spears and flaunting it!
4. Crop tops
These coincide with the low-rise bottoms trend because you can't wear those without a crop top, and while people have incorporated this trend into wearing it with any rise pants, nonetheless it still looks just as good on everyone!
5. Overalls
Whether it was a tee, long sleeve, or jumper that was layered underneath there was a point in time when everyone was wearing them. This is a 90s trend we aren't sure why it ever left! It's super cute and makes a super easy yet stylish outfit. For a real throwback though it's all about having the one shoulder strap undone for that real 90s look!
6. Bike shorts.
They took the world by storm back in the 90s and boy have these little shorts done it again. But this time it's acceptable to wear them everywhere! Throw over a baggy tee, some sneakers, and shades and you have a cute, casual daytime look that can take you to the shops, hangs with friends, or even just chill out at home. Bike shorts just in gyms - that may have been left in the 90s, this we aren't mad about!
7. Slip dresses
Were the rage back in the 90s, and you could say they are making their way back into today's fashion! A flattering, stylish, easy-to-wear slip dress is a go-to always, it takes the effort out without any compromise of style, and bonus, they pair so well with so many different fashion styles! We hope it's a long time before these leave again!!
8. Round glasses
You can't go wrong with a good accessory moment and honestly, the 90s had this category of fashion down pat so it's rightly so we are bringing back a bit of the past when they look this cute!
